| Standard Bars - Full Boxes only (18mm deep) | | 18mm deep stretcher bars machined to a single lip profile. Slotted for traditional tensioning wedges which are available for purchase seperately. The standard stretcher bars (STF) are made of first quality precision-cut kiln dried pine fir timber. They have a uniform beaded edge for forming a perfect painting support. The notched edges fit all brands that conform to the standard dimensions of 1-5/8 inch wide and 3/4 inch deep.
Our stretchers do not require glue for assembly. Instead they incorporate mortise, tenon joints and wedge keys, allowing the stretcher bar to be adjustable.

Broken boxes will attract a slight premium
Do not confuse these quality fir stretcher bars with the cheap "royal paulowina" woods that are being imported from China. |

| Cross Braces | | These cross braces are to fit with our economy standard or gallery stretcher bars as stipulated
Our cross braces slide easily into the stretcher bars for a solid fit. For stretcher bar sizes longer than 24" use of cross braces will provide better strength and stability. Let us know the size of the overall canvas frame and, we will suggest single or cross braces. Bars are designed to fit inside the respective frame size and are therefore shorter than indicated size.
