The regular standard design stretcher bars are made of first quality precision-cut kiln dried pine fir timber. They have a uniform beaded edge for forming a perfect painting support.
The notched edges fit all brands that conform to the standard dimensions of 1-5/8 inch wide and 3/4 inch deep.
Our stretchers do not require glue for assembly. Instead they incorporate mortise, tenon joints and wedge keys, allowing the stretcher bar to be adjustable.

 | Chunky 40mm deep x 35mm wide stretcher bars machined to a single lip profile.
Our gallery stretcher bars are made from first quality, kiln-dried pine fir. Rounded back edge designed so that the canvas is always a full 1/2" elevated from the stretcher bar to ensure that there will be no ghost impressions on the canvas, and also helps prevent canvas cracking. This design is suitable for galleries or expos as most galleries or museums do not require extra framing for gallery-wrapped canvases.
